The Member states in the Human Rights council expressed their condemnation to the measures taken by Bahraini authorities against peaceful opposition in the country.

The swiss commissioner expressed his country’s worry from dissolving Al-Wefaq Islamic association and the sentence against its secretary general cleric Ali Al-Salman, and assured the condemnation of his country to the travel bans imposed on rights activists.

The Czech commissioner criticised the denationalisation of the religious leader Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Kasem, and targeting Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman who is in charge of religious freedoms in Bahrain Human Rights Monitor.

The Danish demanded the release of the opposition symbols and political detainees, especially prominent rights activist Abed Al-Hadi Al-Khawaja.
